Cemetery Beautification

In September 2020 the Mob undertook a beautification project at the Tennant Creek Cemetery in collaboration with the Barkly Regional Council Local Authority. The project was supported by local businesses and Aboriginal corporations with over 20 volunteers working to plant trees, shrubs, create pathways to graves and install reticulation.

The Tennant Creek Local Authority provided funding for a supervisor to oversee the ambitious project.



Volunteers from the Mob, assisted by local youth and prisoners from the Barkly Work Camp, completed the makeover which not only improves the aesthetics of the cemetery but the functionality as well.
